I WAS THAT STORY. THE ONE, THAT NEEDED A SAFE SPACE.

SO I CREATED IT.

LET'S STAY FRIENDS!

Whitney Reynolds believes in creating more seats at the table, finding inspiration in the hardest moments, and spreading hope for all. That philosophy shaped the Whitney Reynolds Show, which launched in 2012 on PBS with a mission that went against the grain—offering a safe space for real, often harrowing stories that uplift and connect.

Drawing from her own challenging childhood, Whitney combined personal resilience with her “gift of gab” to craft a program that flips the script—inviting viewers to feel seen for who they are and where they’ve been.

.

Today, she serves as Executive Producer, Host, and “Chief Inspo Officer” of the Telly Award-winning and two-time Emmy®-nominated Whitney Reynolds Show. Taped in Chicago at CineCity Studios, the show is nationally syndicated on PBS via NETA, airs coast to coast on PBS’ World Channel, and streams on Prime Video, Tubi, the PBS App, and beyond.

Before launching her nationally syndicated program, Whitney worked in news for NBC and created her first talk show on that network. While attending Baylor University, she interned for Good Morning America and fell in love with the power of storytelling on a national stage. At 25, she founded Whitney Reynolds Media, building her mission-driven brand independently. That entrepreneurial leap continues to fuel her creative approach to purpose-driven television.

A Crain’s 40 Under 40 honoree and recipient of the Stevie Award for “Equality in Pay for Women,” Whitney has expanded her impact through the Whitney Reynolds Show’s signature Season Crossovers—special episodes that bridge television, radio, live events, and digital platforms to amplify stories of hope and humanity.

A storyteller across every medium, Whitney has hosted a weekly motivational segment on iHeartRadio since 2013 and co-produced numerous podcasts, including her own, The Whitney WRap. She’s also a regular magazine contributor and a TEDx speaker whose Wrigley Field talk on the power of “hope-filled stories” went viral.

Deeply rooted in service, Whitney dedicates her platform to philanthropy. Each year, she produces a PSA for a nonprofit close to her heart—a “love project” that has earned national recognition, Emmy® nominations, and helped raise more than $5 million for local and global causes. She is a member of The Service Club of Chicago and The Economic Club of Chicago.

Born and raised in southern Oklahoma, Whitney blends her southern charm with Chicago grit. Her life motto: “If the door closes, find the darn window.” She lives in Roscoe Village with her husband, Dave, their nine-year-old twins, Marlowe and Acher, and their Shih Tzu, Sir Crouton. Whether on-air or off, one thing’s certain—Whitney will always find a way to tell stories that inspire hope.
