The new season is almost here and it is with extreme excitement to say we are launching in more markets than ever (MORE)! This spring TWRS will now be 6 STATES and 4 PBS markets. It’s our mission with the show to start the conversation on real-life issues and remind everyone that their story matters! No matter how delicate it is, there’s always hope! We will navigate each issue together.

We are launching our spring season with the topic- SELF IMAGE! From a young woman who is changing the way ads feature women, to a kid who took sewing classes and stitched his way to the red carpet (literally). And we also have the fabulous Amy Schumer talking about this topic and her new movie!

DRUM ROLLLL PLEASE..... This year's 2018 Class of Whitney's Women Entrepreneurs goes to ladies who are making their mark on the next generation. Each year we pick a group of women in business to feature on our show. This year our leading ladies are using their platform to help to help others.

Our first guests created a getaway rehab center for those struggling addiction. On the show this mother/ daughter team walk us through their rock-bottom moments that lit the way for their future path. Their stories are tough, but also a testament that we can channel even difficult situation to help others.

Nancy Gianni is the Founder and “Chief Belief Officer” of GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, and the visionary behind the organization’s launch and dramatic growth. In 2002, Nancy gave birth to her beautiful daughter, GiGi. When given the Down syndrome diagnosis, her fears coupled with the negative reactions of the medical staff made Nancy believe that her life, as she knew it, was over. She soon realized that GiGi could do the same things that her other children could do! What began as a mother’s vision to change perception has evolved into a global enterprise that is spreading an international message of acceptance for all.
