Paula’s journey began 14 years ago with a single word: Pyar, which means love in Hindi. During a trip to India to celebrate her marriage to her husband, Sumit, she was inspired by the craftsmanship and colors of traditional saris. What began as a collaboration with Sumit’s extended family, creating handcrafted textiles and pillows, has since evolved into a lifestyle brand that invites people to slow down, find beauty in the everyday, and fill their lives with meaning.

Whitney describes Paula’s shop as “an experience,” and it truly is. From the scent that greets you when you walk in to the hand-thrown ceramics and woven throws, every detail encourages a moment of pause—a breath in the middle of the busyness. There’s a feeling there that can’t be staged or replicated. Paula’s approach to leading and creating is organic and rooted in authenticity.
