Beyond the Documentary: The Story Behind World Without Cows
What would the world look like without cows? It's an interesting question, and one that filmmakers Michelle Michael and Brandon Whitworth spent years exploring.
I recently had the chance to sit down with Michelle and Brandon to talk about their documentary, World Without Cows, and hear more about what went into making it.
The film follows the two filmmakers as they travel across 22 countries over five years, speaking with farmers, scientists, and others involved in agriculture. They explore how cows fit into our food systems, their impact on the environment, and what life might actually look like without them. Along the way, they hear different opinions and learn just how complicated the conversation around cattle can be.
During our interview, we talked about the filmmaking process, what inspired them to take on such a big project, and some of their experiences along the way. It was interesting to hear how their original question turned into a much larger conversation.
One of my favorite parts of hosting The Whitney Reynolds Show is getting to learn about the work that goes on behind the scenes. I loved hearing about Michelle and Brandon's experience firsthand.
I'm excited to share our conversation with you! Tune in here or below!
