The Working Lunch Impact
Just weeks after sharing my reflections in The Power of WE, I had the opportunity to witness that message come to life at Women Employed’s The Working Lunch 2026 in Chicago.
Held at the Hilton Chicago, the luncheon brought together advocates, leaders, changemakers, and community members united by one purpose: advancing women’s workplace rights and economic opportunities. This year’s theme, “The Power of WE,” focused on what can happen when people come together to protect progress, amplify voices, and create meaningful change.
And the impact was undeniable.
Together, attendees helped raise more than $300,000 in support of Women Employed and its mission to create systemic change for working women and families. The generosity and passion in the room served as a powerful reminder that real change happens when people choose to stand together.
Being invited as a special guest to the event was truly meaningful to me. Throughout my work on The Whitney Reynolds Show, I’ve always believed in the importance of creating conversations that encourage connection, empathy, and hope. To be surrounded by so many individuals committed to uplifting others and building stronger opportunities for women was deeply inspiring.
For more than 50 years, Women Employed has worked tirelessly to advocate for workplace equity and support women striving for economic stability and success. The Working Lunch not only celebrated that legacy but also reinforced how much more is possible when communities come together with purpose.
What stayed with me most after the luncheon was the energy in the room. It wasn’t simply about fundraising or speeches. It was about people showing up for one another, with leaders from across industries gathering around a shared belief that progress is strongest when it’s collective.
Moments like this remind me why stories matter. They connect us. They inspire action. And they remind us that no one creates change alone.
This event was more than a success. It was proof that when we lead with compassion, collaboration, and community, incredible things can happen.
That is the true power of WE. Watch the full testimonial below.
