Whitney Takes the Mound at Wrigley Field
Chicago has been home to The Whitney Reynolds Show from the very beginning, so getting to experience a night like this at Wrigley Field was pretty special.
On Thursday, September 3, I had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Cubs game. Walking onto the field and seeing the stands full was one thing, but knowing my kids were there watching their mom take the mound gave the night a completely different meaning.
They were seeing a moment that came from years of building a platform where people can feel safe sharing their stories. That’s something I don’t take lightly, and getting to share the experience with them gave me a chance to reflect on just how far this show has come.
It was also a great night for Chicago. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was at Wrigley, there was an incredible energy throughout the ballpark, and we got to finish it all off with a Cubs win.
For me, moments like this are worth sharing because there’s always something bigger behind them. You may not know exactly where the work you’re doing will lead, but staying focused on your purpose can open doors you never expected.
Getting to experience one of those moments in our home market, with my family there beside me, made this a night I won’t forget.
