Since 1890, this group has been raising funds to provide high-impact, tangible grants to nonprofits across the city and suburbs. From essentials like bed bug protection and pantry support to creative needs like stage lighting and even tiny boots for therapy horses (yes, really!), their work touches more than a million lives each year. Every grant is vetted, every dollar is intentionally used, and members roll up their sleeves to make a real difference.

Patty also gave listeners a first look at one of their biggest traditions: the Annual Holiday Luncheon, happening December 9th at the Union League Club. This year’s theme is “The Season to Sparkle,” and the event offers plenty of ways to do good while getting into the holiday spirit through curated vendors, raffles, festive music, and a room full of women coming together to create real impact.

And this year’s luncheon has an extra special layer of purpose. Their charitable partner is Share Our Spare, an organization ensuring Chicago-area children ages 0–5 have access to the essential items they need for a strong, healthy start.
