Whitney’s Women on iHeartRadio’s The Weekly Show continues to shine a light on women who are making an incredible impact both here in Chicago and around the world. Whitney recently had the opportunity to chat with two powerhouse leaders who embody what it means to create lasting change: Laurel Delaney of Women Entrepreneurs Grow Global® (wegg) and Katie Nadick of March of Dimes Chicago.

Laurel Delaney, founder and president of wegg, is on a mission to help women entrepreneurs everywhere take their businesses global. Through innovative, tuition-free online programs and supportive cohorts, Laurel’s organization empowers women to expand their reach, strengthen their confidence, and find community in the process. What began as a blog in 2008 has blossomed into a global nonprofit that has helped more than 40,000 women-owned businesses grow beyond borders.

This year marks wegg’s 10-year anniversary, and they are celebrating with a special event honoring women who are leading with courage, creativity, and connection. From a woman-owned venue to all-female musical playlists and products from women-owned businesses, every detail reflects the heart of wegg’s mission: women lifting up women.

Following Laurel’s inspiring story, Whitney welcomed Katie Nadick, Senior Director of Donor Development for March of Dimes Chicago. Katie shared how this long-standing organization has evolved from eradicating polio to championing maternal and infant health. With a focus on closing health equity gaps, reducing preterm births, and ensuring every family gets the care they need, March of Dimes is shaping a healthier future for moms and babies across the country.

Their upcoming Signature Chefs: Feeding Motherhood event brings together Chicago’s top culinary talents for a night of purpose and flavor. Hosted at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, this evening of fine food and meaningful fundraising supports research, education, and advocacy efforts to give every family the best possible start. Whitney will proudly serve as emcee for the event.

Both Laurel and Katie embody the spirit of Whitney’s Women: women using their platforms to make a difference and lift others along the way.
