The Chicago Lighthouse
The Whitney Reynolds Show is always honored to highlight stories and events that remind us of the power of courage, resilience, and community. This September, two remarkable spotlights came together—one on the runway and one on the screen.
Earlier this month, Whitney herself took to the runway at Chicago Lighthouse’s FLAIR: Fun. Fashion. Philanthropy. charity luncheon and fashion show. The event was a stunning success, raising funds to benefit children and youth who are blind, visually impaired, or multi-disabled. The afternoon also featured a special highlight: honoring Dr. Stacie McClane, whose dedication and impact have left a lasting mark on the Chicago community. You can also catch Whitney and Dr. McClane on iHeartRadio’s The Weekly Show, on the latest segment of Whitney’s Women.
Staying with that spirit of resilience, Whitney also sat down with an extraordinary individual who works with Lighthouse for the Blind, Tim Paul, a blind man whose life journey is anything but limited by his disability. Tim has never let disability define his limits. From skiing snowy slopes to approaching life with humor and grace, his story challenges assumptions and proves that disability does not mean inability. Tim’s inspiring journey is also the subject of the new documentary I’m Only Blind, which screened September 12–18 at the Pickwick Theatre.
