Feeding Our Veterans
Some nights remind us why coming together matters. Over the weekend, the inaugural Farm Fresh Hope Gala at Chicago’s Field Museum did just that. It wasn’t just about the dinner or the entertainment—it was about a community gathering with a shared purpose: making sure our nation’s heroes never go hungry.
Honoring veterans has long been close to Whitney’s heart. In fact, some of the show’s earliest recognition came from shining a light on the stories of those who served. That same commitment to uplifting veterans is why nights like this feel so meaningful—they’re a continuation of a promise to keep their voices and needs at the forefront.
The evening included a performance by David Spade alongside moments of heartfelt connection as guests learned more about the mission of Farm 2 Veteran. Since 2020, the nonprofit has donated over 400,000 meals to veterans across nine states, with a vision of reaching all fifty.
What stood out most at the gala wasn’t only the program, but the spirit in the room. Hope felt tangible. Each conversation, each donation, each shared smile moved the mission forward in a meaningful way.
For those who couldn’t attend, the opportunity to be part of the impact is still here. Farm 2 Veteran’s work continues well beyond one evening, and every gift—big or small—helps provide fresh, healthy food to the men and women who have served. Learn more or get involved at here.
