A Night Close To My Heart At The Showhouse @ The Mart

Some causes become personal in ways you never expect. During my pregnancy, I was given a shot to help develop my children's lungs. In that moment, I realized how important lung health is, not just for my babies, but for me too. It was a moment that stayed with me and gave me a deeper understanding of how something we often take for granted can impact every stage of life. That experience gave me a greater appreciation for organizations that fight for awareness, research, and support, and it’s one of the reasons my connection with the Respiratory Health Association has meant so much to me over the years.

RHA has been a proud partner of my show, and throughout the years, we’ve shared incredible experiences, including climbing the Hancock Tower in support of lung health initiatives. Those moments have represented more than challenges or events; they’ve been reminders of strength, resilience, and the power of showing up for a cause that matters.

That’s why attending The Showhouse @ The MART this year with my daughter felt especially meaningful.

The RHA Charity Preview of Showhouse at The MART brought together more than 800 people for an evening centered around purpose and impact. While the design inspiration and excitement throughout the event created a beautiful atmosphere, the true highlight was seeing a community rally around an important mission.

Together, more than $100,000 was raised to support the Respiratory Health Association and advance lung health efforts. Witnessing that kind of generosity is always inspiring because every donation and every person in the room represented hope for healthier futures.

Sharing moments like these with my daughter matters to me. I want my children to see the importance of giving back and understand that when people come together with compassion and purpose, real change happens.

The Showhouse @ The MART reminded me why this mission remains so close to my heart. It was more than an event—it was a celebration of community, perseverance, and the reminder that together, we can help lift each other higher.
