A Night for the Arts, a Future for Creativity

I've built my career around storytelling, but some of the most meaningful stories are told without words. At The Joffrey Ballet's 2026 Gala, I was reminded how dance, music, film, and every artistic expression move us in ways words cannot.

While the evening celebrated the incredible work of the Joffrey Ballet, it was also an opportunity for people to come together and invest in something much larger than a single performance. Events like this help ensure that the arts continue to thrive, creating opportunities for artists, students, and communities to experience the power of creativity.

I've always believed that the arts are essential. Whether it's dance, television, music, film, writing, or visual art, each form gives us a way to share stories and connect. The arts help us see the world from new perspectives and remind us of our shared humanity.

As someone who spends their life telling stories, I am constantly inspired by the many ways stories can be shared. Watching dancers communicate emotion and meaning without saying a single word is a powerful example of how art can transcend language and bring people together.

What made the evening especially meaningful was knowing that every donation and every show of support helps keep the arts accessible for future generations. Supporting the arts isn't simply about preserving tradition; it's about investing in creativity, education, innovation, and community.

I left the gala feeling grateful to be surrounded by people who recognize the value of artistic expression and are committed to ensuring it continues to flourish. In a world that can often feel divided, the arts remain one of the most powerful ways to inspire understanding, spark conversation, and bring people together.

I'm thankful to have been part of an evening that celebrated not only extraordinary talent but also the lasting impact that the arts have on all of our lives.
