Whitney’s Women: Double the Impact, Double the Inspiration

Featured on iHeartRadio’s The Weekly Show, Whitney’s Women spotlights inspiring change makers who turn purpose into action through authentic conversation. It’s not just about sharing stories, it’s about celebrating the people behind them and the difference they’re making in communities near and far.

In a recent Whitney’s Women special, Whitney went back-to-back with two powerhouse guests making a difference right here in Chicago.

First up, she sat down with Sarah Meyer Hughes from the Respiratory Health Association. The RHA is helping the city breathe easier for Lung Health Awarness Month through clean air initiatives, educational outreach, and creative local collaborations (yes—there’s even an ice cream and cocktail component, all for a good cause!).

Then, Whitney connected with Akilah Halley, Executive Director of Marwen, a nonprofit that offers free visual arts and college/career programming to Chicago students from under-resourced communities. Through art, mentorship, and opportunity, Marwen helps young people build confidence, connection, and creative futures.

From clean air to creative expression, both women embody the heart of Whitney’s Women: using passion as a catalyst for positive change.
